About Swarovski Brand
Swarovski trademark was created in 1895, Austria, by Daniel Swarovski. Being known as its precision-cut, facet and reflection, Swarovski keeps the secret of beautiful
crystal glass making. Its exquisite sheen has a magic glamour, which makes anyone can’t go unnoticed. Nowadays, there are more and more people love this brand of
crystal jewelry. Designers of Swarovski crystal jewelry spread all over the world.
Authentic Swarovski Jewelry vs. Authentic Swarovski Crystal
Swarovski company produces semi-manufactured crystals as well as finished crystal jewelries. The semi-manufactured crystals currently called Crystallized – Swarovski Elements will be firstly sold globally and processed by local agency. Dealers will not offer Swarovski label and single exquisite box for Swarovski Crystallized product to reduce cost.
The Swarovski finished crystal jewelries have registered the swan trademark and sold in franchised stores with its unique certification. Consequently, the price is much higher than semi-manufactured crystals. Technologically, both qualities, including crystal cut, facet, refraction, gloss, are the same.
Crystallized – Swarovski Elements
Before 2008, there are 2 trademarks used for Swarovski crystals, which are Swarovski Component™ and Swarovski Strass™ serials. From 2008, Swarovski merged both into the new Crystallized™ trademark.
Crystallized crystal has its anti-fake label and the serial numbers for some of the crystals, in which the 8 serial has the anti-fake label set inside the crystal, 6, 5, 4 serials have no anti-fake label in it, but all the qualities are the same.
3, 4, 5, 6, 8 Serials
3 serial (e.g. 3221 3016 3017 3256), most of them have 2 holes.
4 serial (e.g. 4137 4139 4737 4439), most of them are open frame.
5 serial (e.g. 5040 5520 5301 5523), have the hole in the middle.
6 serial (e.g. 6301 6721 6704 6866),
8 serial (e.g. 8558 8641 8806 8621),
Artificial Crystal vs. Fake Crystal
All Swarovski crystal is artificial, but that doesn’t mean the crystal is fake. Artificial means the crystal grows in the environment created by human other than the nature. However, this is not fake crystal as the physical structure and chemical composition are almost the same as natural crystal’s. Furthermore, the artificial crystal is more pure and has more alternative colors than the natural one.
How to Read Swarovski Certified Crystal
All Swarovski crystal is pure and transparent with clarity. It’s not easy to be scratched, so you can keep it for a long time and the original color will not be changed. Swarovski company has advanced cut and grinding technologies. So a easy way to read Swarovski certified crystal is to look carefully at the cut line. If the cut line is sharp, it’s the real one. Or else, if the cut line is round, it’s the fake one.
Swarovski anti-fake label
Crystal beads have no anti-fake label inside, neither finished Swarovski jewelry nor Crystallized serials. Some 8 serial pendants have the anti-fake label as shown above but no longer have anti-fake label after 2006 according to Swarovski Co,Ltd.
High Price vs. Low Price
Why the jewelry in the Swarovski.com is so expensive but the getSparkling.com can offer such low prices? This is a good question. There are nothing more than the following 2 reasons,
