The History of Swarovski Crystal

In 1892, 29-year-old Daniel Swarovski (Daniel Swarovski) invented the first cutting machine, which greatly enhances the speed, accuracy and quality.
In 1913, Daniel Swarovski and his three sons Wilhelm, Friedrich and Alfred set up a crystal factory, manufacturing original crystal materials with pure quality. Swarovski success today depends on the quality of its precise requirements.
In 1931, Swarovski registered his products of stone, including various stones with crystal band and lace, which can be used for clothing and accessories.
In 1948, Swarovski set up the department of optical instruments and named it after HABICHT, including the precise optical instruments of single-telescope, sight, which became rapidly the main supplier for the international market.
In 1956, Swarovski applied a unique vacuum coating for the first time, creating the crystal jewelry stones with the effect of “symphony of lights”.
In 1960, Swarovski set up the first sales office in Germany. Now, 40 sales agencies have been established in the world, distributing the products to all over the world.
In 1965, flashing and beautiful crystal chandelier pendant was introduced to the market, which was applied by Metropolitan Opera Theater in New York and Versailles Palace in Paris.
In 1976, Swarovski success began with a lovely crystal mouse. Since then, other vivid animal statues followed. At present, this series contains more than 120 pieces of gifts and collections.
In 1977, Swarovski launched the first series of jewelry (Swarovski Jewellery Collection). By now, the products include the best fashion creations and classic crystal jewelry designs and the introduction of two new products each year.
In 1987, the collection of Swarovski Association was established to provide for crystal lovers, the exchange of services and exclusive rights. At present, the number of members has more than 430,000, will be presented with the four annual “Swarovski magazine.”
In 1991, the tour exhibition organized and sponsored by Swarovski was started. So far, this exhibition has been on display for more than 20 venues.
In 1995, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Swarovski, Swarovski Crystal World located in the city of Wattens was opened in October. The outside shape of this underground museum is a green giant with an area of more than 2000 square meters. You can totally experience the exotic world of crystal. So far, more than 4.5 million people have visited the charm of crystal themselves.
In 2001, Swarovski provided brand new design ideas for bathroom. The products include flashing components which can be blended in each other. Colorful “crystal bathroom touch” was inspired by the bright light of Swarovski crystal, which is the perfect reflection of purity and harmony.
